Grassroots Boxing Campaign
Posh Boy
Immersed in the world of Amateur Boxing
Our work on Posh Boy marked the beginning of a deep immersion into the world of amateur boxing from York Hall to grassroots gyms across London and beyond
Through this process, we embedded ourselves within the community, building relationships with clubs such as Fitzroy Lodge, Haringey, and Carneys Community. We listened closely to boxers, coaches, commentators, and the young people at the heart of these clubs, documenting boxing’s role far beyond the ring.
Carneys Community is unlike a traditional boxing gym
Here boxing is the hook but the work extends into wider support for young people facing school exclusion, family instability, crime, and mental health challenges. It’s a model where the sport becomes a gateway to trust, structure and opportunity.
Social campaign to support and amplify this amazing work
We created a social campaign of multiple short films, sharing the stories we encountered and raising awareness of boxing’s wider social impact. More than a campaign, this experience shaped our perspective as filmmakers. It revealed the power of storytelling when it is rooted in lived experience and real communities.
This work became the spark that ignited Into the Fold, a company founded with a singular focus: creating films that aim to generate meaningful, lasting social impact, and to tell stories where culture, community, and humanity drive real change.
